Janis Carter Named the 2014 Volunteer of the Year by the Austin Chamber in Federal & State Advocacy

Winstead’s Janis Carter brings 25 years of Texas legislative and government relations experience to Winstead clients. She has been lobbying the Texas Legislature since 1989 and working with Winstead since 2002. Prior to lobbying, she served for six years as the director of the House Committee on Appropriations under former Chairman Robert Junell. She also has legislative experience as a legislative director in the Capitol and in a district office.

On Jan. 28, Janis will be one of the volunteers honored by the Austin Chamber of Commerce.  Janis is being named the 2014 Volunteer of the Year by the Austin Chamber for Federal & State Advocacy.  The Chamber will recognize Janis along with other volunteers across the key areas where the Chamber of Commerce operates at the 137th Annual Meeting at 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton Austin.  Winstead attorneys and staff will be attending the event.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
