Austin, TX, May 23, 2011 – Austin Shareholder Robert (Bob) D. Burton was honored with the 2010 Award of Excellence in Government & Public Affairs by the Community Associations Institute (CAI) at the organization's Annual Conference and Exposition in Boca Raton, Florida, earlier this month. Burton served on the Federal Affairs Task Force for CAI this year, addressing federal issues that have become relevant to the industry. He has acted as lead counsel to the developer of the W Hotel and Residences and the 360 Condominiums, both in Austin. He presently acts as lead community governance counsel to the developer of the Mueller Airport Redevelopment, Steiner Ranch, and a number of mixed-use developments throughout the state.
