Winstead Moves Dallas Office to Uptown

10.22.12

Dallas, Oct. 22, 2012 — Law firm Winstead PC has officially vacated Renaissance Tower, the law firm’s home for the past 25 years, and moved operations to its new location: 500 Winstead Building, 2728 N. Harwood St., Dallas, TX, 75201. The move involved relocating over 300 attorneys and non-attorney staff from 200,000 square feet of office space to a new headquarters building, located in the Harwood district, occupying approximately 130,000 square feet.

"This is a new chapter for our Dallas office and we are excited,” said Kevin Sullivan, Winstead’s CEO and chairman. “The new office is modern, space efficient, conveniently located and it gives us an energetic work environment we know will benefit our clients and employees.”

Preparations for the move began two years ago and involved collaboration with Winstead’s design firm lauckgroup and general contractor Beck Group.

Some of the larger scale preparations involved reducing files, supplies and obsolete equipment/furniture. The firm’s library was reduced from 250 shelf units to 39 shelves. Files that could be electronically archived have been converted, and the firm’s new client file system and upgraded library services provide more efficient, customized service using technology and reducing storage requirements.

One of the unique attributes of Winstead’s new Dallas office is the collaborative work environment with open break areas and welcoming lounge/seating areas, including a lounge on the top floor where employees can enjoy their lunch and attorneys can entertain their clients.

“Winstead is proud to be a part of Dallas and serve our clients in the North Texas region,” said Sullivan. “We are looking forward to what the firm’s next 25 years will bring.” Winstead was founded in Dallas in 1973. In 2013, the firm will celebrate 40 years of serving clients.

Winstead is among the largest business law firms in Texas. Winstead attorneys and consultants serve as trusted advisors to mid-market and large businesses, providing a core range of legal services that are critical to their operation and success. Winstead currently has offices in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and The Woodlands, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. It will be opening a New Orleans office within the next month. For detailed information about Winstead, visit www.winstead.com.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
