Winstead names new Houston leadership: Shareholder Greg Erwin appointed Managing Shareholder; Yasmin Atasi named Practice Group Leader for Business Litigation

Houston, TX, Apr. 1, 2013 — Winstead PC has appointed shareholder Greg Erwin as the firm’s new managing shareholder of the Houston Office and named shareholder Yasmin Atasi practice group leader for business litigation-Houston/The Woodlands/New Orleans.

Erwin is co-chair of Winstead's real estate development & investments practice group. He will be assisted by shareholder Teresa Schneider who serves as the firm’s deputy managing shareholder for the Houston Office. Atasi is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group and also serves as chair of Winstead’s Diversity Committee.

Erwin has over 30 years of experience as a real estate practitioner, handling some of the most complex real estate deals for some of the biggest clients in the nation, including New York Stock Exchange REITs, privately held development firms and wealthy individuals. He is a frequent lecturer and contributor to legal publications and he is routinely listed as a top real estate attorney by Chambers USA, Texas Super Lawyers and other legal and real estate listings. He currently serves as chair of the Houston District Council of the Urban Land Institute. Erwin received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Texas School of Law.

Atasi has been a member of Winstead's litigation practice since 1990. Her practice includes lender liability defense, debt collection for financial institutions, real estate litigation, landlord/tenant litigation, securities fraud litigation, insurance defense, Employee Retirement Income Security Act litigation and general complex commercial disputes. Atasi has been listed as a top lawyer by H Texas magazine and a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. She received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.

Operators
