Jackson is a member of Winstead’s Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group and represents owners, developers, and associations in matters related to the acquisition/disposition, development, and governance of commercial and residential real estate. Jackson’s practice focuses on real estate development, with an emphasis on the governance and administration of property owners’ associations.

Prior to joining Winstead, Jackson worked as civil defense counsel for businesses and individuals across Texas. Jackson regularly leverages his litigation experience to advocate for his clients when disputes arise.

Representative Experience

  • Development: Representation of developers in the formation, operation and administration of property owners’ associations and transition of control of property owners’ associations from developers to owners; representing developers and property owners’ associations in the development and creation of planned communities including in-depth experience drafting dedicatory instruments and governing documents.
  • Dispute Resolution: Represent developers during disputes relating to the creation and development of planned communities; represent builders during disputes relating to property construction, including claims for construction defects; represent property owners’ associations during disputes relating to the management and administration of associations.

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
