Mark Grobmyer is a member of Winstead's Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group. Mark’s practice is focused on real estate development, with an emphasis on structuring and administering residential, mixed-use and office condominiums, and residential and mixed-use communities. Mark also has experience in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions including drafting acquisition and disposition contracts, easements and license agreements. In addition to representation of homebuilders, Mark specializes in representing build-for-rent and single-family rental owners and operators on a variety of matters, including acquisition, disposition, land-banking, governance, exit-strategy planning, and regulatory requirement compliance. Mark also represents master-planned community developers on the challenges in planning for accommodating build-for-rent and single-family rental projects within and adjacent to new and mature master-planned communities. 

Prior to joining Winstead, Mark worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative aide for United States Senator Blanche L. Lincoln of Arkansas. While attending the University of Arkansas School of Law, Mark worked as a summer clerk in the Office of the Attorney General for the Republic of Palau.

Representative Experience

  • Real Estate Development: Representation of developers and builders in the creation, development, governance, management and administration of master-planned communities, mixed-use, residential, condominium and other covenant-controlled projects; Representation of developers and builders in the formation and operation of property owners associations; Representation of condominium, residential, and mixed-use property owner associations.
  • Acquisitions and Dispositions: Representation of both purchasers and sellers of real estate in the acquisition, disposition and development of improved and unimproved property.
  • Real Estate Lending: Represents both lenders and borrowers in connection with permanent financing, including syndications, for hotels, multi-family projects, office buildings, medical office buildings, senior living facilities and industrial buildings.
  • Leasing: Represents both landlords and tenants in connection with the negotiation of lease agreements for various types of real property.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
