Merissa Sabol is a member of Winstead’s Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group. Merissa's practice covers a wide range of commercial real estate, financing, and leasing transactions. Her experience includes representing purchasers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties, including office, retail, mixed-use, industrial, and healthcare facilities, representing lenders and borrowers in land acquisition loans, construction loans, and revolving credit facilities, and representing landlords and tenants in office, retail, and industrial leasing.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of national and regional institutional lenders with respect to the origination of construction loans in all categories of real estate, including multifamily, retail, industrial, and hospitality, and servicing matters, including consents, modifications and extensions, assumptions, and partial releases.
  • Representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with commercial real estate loans, including land acquisition loans, portfolio loans, refinancing, and construction loans.
  • Representation of purchasers and sellers in the acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition of single and multi-property portfolios of retail, office, multifamily, industrial, and medical offices.
  • Representation of institutional landlords in leasing office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and restaurant space, particularly in Dallas.
  • Representation of tenants in leasing of office, restaurant, and retail space.

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
