Sarah Churchill Llamas, Winstead PC shareholder and chair of the firm’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry Group, has been named as an honoree for the Austin Business Journal’s (ABJ) 2020 Profiles in Power Central Texas Women of Influence awards. The awards honor women in Central Texas who have forged their own paths, developed leadership principles, and made a difference in their communities by blazing new trails and leaving a mark on Central Texas business.
Churchill Llamas is a healthcare and health information technology attorney with specific knowledge of health IT solutions, having been appointed a fellow by the Office of National Coordinator for Health IT under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2014. She represents a broad range of health information technology and telehealth companies as well as entities that intersect with health information technology, including hospitals, health plans, large physician groups and accountable care organizations, managed services organizations, self-insured employers and venture capital firms. She also has deep knowledge of telehealth, with a large portion of her practice focusing on telemedicine.
Located in Austin, Texas, Churchill Llamas is a key leader in Central Texas and has advanced in her career through her vast community involvement. She has worked extensively with Austin healthcare information societies, especially local and national non-profits such as the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) to promote health information security and functionality.

She is the past President of the Austin Health Lawyers Association and was the 2014-2015 healthcare representative to the City of Austin Digital Inclusion Steering Committee.
