Jeff Nydegger is a shareholder in Winstead's higher education and public infrastructure group. Jeff represents both public and private sector clients in public development and public-private partnership (P3) transactions. Jeff works with developers and public entities to deliver critical public infrastructure, with a specialty in social infrastructure projects, including courthouses, city halls and public facilities, arenas, convention and conference centers, hotels, student housing, and cultural facilities.
Jeff's experience covers a broad range of matters relating to public facilities development, including procurement, construction, real estate and leasing, facilities operations and maintenance, and project finance.
Representative Experience
- University of Texas at Austin. Represented the University of Texas at Austin in the procurement, negotiation and delivery of the Moody Center, a 15,000-seat multi-purpose basketball arena and concert venue, in a public-private partnership with Oak View Group.
- Texas Tech University. Represented Texas Tech University in connection with a public-private partnership transaction for the construction and financing of a new $200 million south end zone and athletic training center at Womble Stadium in Lubbock, Texas
- Travis County. Represented Travis County, Texas in the procurement, negotiation, and delivery of a state-of-the-art civil family and courts facility, in a public private partnership with Hunt. The Courthouse was awarded the Commercial Real Estate Deal of the Year in 2020 by the Austin Business Journal.
- Texas A&M University. Represented The Texas A&M University System in the financing and delivery of The Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, a $152 million 250,000 square-foot full-service hotel located on the campus of Texas A&M University across from Kyle Field in College Station.
