Michael is a member of Winstead’s Finance & Lending Practice Group. He regularly represents borrowers and lenders in connection with a variety of financing structures, including asset‐based loans, cash‐flow based loans (both syndicated and bilateral), first‐lien/second‐lien financings, real estate loans, acquisition financings, as well as loan workouts in connection with a variety of loan structures. Michael’s clients include money‐center banks, regional banks, finance companies and private investment funds.

Representative Experience

  • Lead counsel to agents and lenders in structuring, negotiating and documenting a variety of syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, both asset-based and cash-flow
  • Lead counsel to borrowers (both strategic and private equity sponsored) in connection with the structuring of debt transactions, including acquisition financings
  • Lead counsel on workouts and foreclosures with respect to both real and personal property collateral
  • Documentation of loans for borrowers in industry groups including manufacturing, media and telecommunications, oilfield services, and consumer/retail

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
