Tommy Oliver rejoined Winstead PC in June 2008 as an of counsel attorney. Tommy originally joined Winstead in 1977, remained with the firm until March 2000 and served as managing shareholder from 1986-1989. While at Winstead, Tommy served as head of the firm's employee benefits practice and represented clients in matters pertaining to all types of employee benefit plans, including ESOPs. Tommy also represented numerous corporate clients - both public and private - in matters pertaining to equity compensation plans, executive employment agreements and various strategic planning issues.
Tommy previously served as executive vice president and general counsel of CEC Entertainment, Inc. While at CEC, Tommy advised the board of directors and senior management on a broad array of corporate governance and other legal issues, and managed a legal department consisting of four attorneys and two paralegals. He also oversaw the risk, human resources and employee benefits departments. In December 2007, Tommy retired from CEC.
Tommy is a member of Winstead's Taxation, Employee Benefits & Private Business Practice Group and Corporate, Securities/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group.
