AUSTIN, TX, July 2, 2024 - Winstead PC, a leading Texas-based law firm serving clients across the country, announced that Nadia Haghighatian has joined the firm's Business Litigation Practice Group as a Shareholder.

"Nadia is an outstanding IP litigator and trial lawyer, and we are thrilled to have her join our growing team. This is our fourth significant addition to the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in the last twelve months, which includes two Shareholders in our Austin office. Coupled with the significant trial wins we have achieved for our clients, including one of the top 100 trial verdicts in 2023, it really speaks to our momentum," said James Ruiz, Shareholder and Chair of the Litigation & Dispute Department at Winstead.

"I’m thrilled to join Winstead’s team of talented and upstanding IP litigation attorneys, many of whom I have known for years and are already close friends of mine. The group not only has a proven track record of delivering impressive trial wins but also has a strategic vision to build on that success by expanding its reach in Austin. I look forward to contributing to their continued growth and provision of excellent client service," said Nadia Haghighatian.

In addition to over a decade of experience litigating IP disputes, Nadia has an electrical engineering background, which she leverages to represent clients in complex patent litigation matters across a wide variety of technology areas, such as software, telecommunications, electrical, mechanical, and semiconductor technologies. Nadia has also worked with clients in patent and trade secret cases in the energy sector, and is well-versed in trademark infringement litigation.

Beyond her IP work, Nadia values serving people in need through pro bono, having litigated high-stakes asylum and prisoner’s rights cases that have profoundly impacted the lives of her clients and reflect her personal commitment to increasing access to justice. Outside of the courtroom, she is dedicated to improving the legal profession through leadership and community-building, and is particularly passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
